Acne
Functional disorder of the sebaceous or pilosebaceous glands, characterized by pimples, pustules, pus, white heads and blackheads, mainly on the face, neckline and back, can be aggravated by the use of the contraceptive pill, hormonal changes, poor hygiene, stress, menstrual disorders, dietary imbalance or constipation. Acne that persists in adulthood after the age of 20 often reflects sexual dissatisfaction; it often settles in immunocompromised areas. In adult women, we can also suspect an ovarian cyst
Depending on the location, acne seems to reveal a specific disturbance:
- forehead: intestinal disorders - chin: gynecological disorders - cheeks: respiratory disorders (oxygenation)
25% of men and 50% of women suffer from acne at one time or another during their adult life.
The different types of acne :
- <b>punctate or punctate acne</b>: blackheads
- <b>common acne</b>: polymorphic or juvenile which occurs on the face and thorax
- <b>rosacea acne</b>: rosacea
- <b>furunculous acne</b>: nail
- <b>follicular acne</b>: proliferation of staphylococci around the hair
- <b>keloid acne</b>: scarring
- <b>occupational acne</b>: caused by: chlorine, chlorinated hydrocarbons, chlorophenol, DDT, petroleum and petroleum oil, coal tar, detergent, pesticides...
