Adenitis - Adenopathy - Angina
Adenitis: Acute or chronic inflammation of the lymph nodes.
Adenopathy: Swelling (of an inflammatory or tumoral nature) of the nodes, especially lymphatics, in the neck, armpits, groin. Carbohydrate overload, vitamin, protein and mineral deficiency.
Presentation of lymphatic nodules (bumps on the neck). Enlarged lymph nodes, of an inflammatory nature
Infectious mononucleosis is a variety of lymphadenitis.
Angina: Inflammation of the isthmus of the throat and pharynx. Inflammation and infection of the tonsils and soft palate. Generally results in a high fever and refusal to eat in very young children.
