Hardening of the arteries with loss of elasticity and gradual internal obstruction.

Infiltration of the walls of small and medium-sized arteries which often causes high blood pressure. Pain in the legs and chest occurs at an advanced stage of the disease.

The disappearance of hair on the toes would be a sign of vascular disorders and especially arteriosclerosis.
