Bunion - Hallux Valgus

It is necessary to differentiate:

Cor (Clavus) - small, hard, painful tumor located above the joints of the phalanges of the foot.

Durillon (Callosity) - thickening of the skin of the hand or sole of the foot

Hallux (Hallux valgus) - deviation of the big toe outwards, often with subluxation of the metatarsophalangeal joint. Characterized by a hard, protruding lump which interferes with wearing shoes.

Bunion (Bunion) - bursa covered with thickened dermis and epidermis at the joints of the foot and especially the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe.

Treat osteoporosis (weakening of bone and ligamentous tissues) which predisposes to this pathology.
