Burns - Scars - Keloids
Lesions produced on the skin by: heat, caustic products, electricity or by radiation.
1st degree: erythema, redness and pain
2th degree: blisters, more severe pain and blister
3th degree: necrosis (carbonization), hospital treatment required
Keloid: fibrous swelling of the skin, most often appearing on scars.
The extent of a burn is generally established according to the rule of 9:
- each arm represents 9% of the body surface,
- each leg, 18%
- the back and torso, 18% each
- the genital region, 1%
It provides information on the degree of seriousness
