Cerebral Hemorrhage

Sudden and more or less complete suspension of all brain functions, hemiplegia, paraplegia, loss of speech, cerebral softening, rupture of blood vessels in the brain.

Cerebrovascular accident (CVA) or cerebrovascular accident (CVA) is the most common brain disorder. It is characterized by the sudden onset of persistent neurological symptoms caused by the destruction of brain tissue.

Treatment includes intensive physiotherapy and monitoring of underlying causes such as hypertension or heart disease.

The 4 signs to recognize a stroke:

  • S (smile): ask the person to smile,
  • T (talk): ask the person to pronounce a simple sentence clearly (e.g.: “The weather is nice today”),
  • R (raise both arms): ask the person to raise both arms,
  • L (tongue): ask the person to stick out their tongue (if the tongue goes more to one side than the other, it is an indication of a stroke).
