Cholecystitis - Cholelithiasis

 • Cholelithiasis: Formation of “stones” in the gallbladder. The different types are:
 • pigment stones, composed of bilirubin and calcium,
 • cholesterolic stones, rare, are composed of cholesterol crystals,
 • mixed stones (the most common), composed of calcium bilirubinate and cholesterol.
 • Cholecystitis: infection of the gallbladder, inflammation and painful condition due to blockage of its evacuation function by the stone

To resolve all digestive problems, it is imperative to "drink" solid foods and "chew" liquids.

Overweight people are more often affected. Women are two to three times more likely to develop stones than men.

In most cases, pain linked to gallstones begins in the epigastrium, that is to say in the upper part of the abdomen between the sternum and the umbilicus and not to the right of the stomach under the right side of the diaphragm. In reality, in 80% of cases, no painful signs appear.
