Colitis - Irritable Bowel Syndrome - Enteritis

Inflammation of the colon also called "functional colopathy". It is accompanied by diarrhea or sometimes constipation. We notice abdominal cramps often relieved by defecation and the presence of mucus, blood or pus in the stools.

Whatever the form of the pathology: suppurating or ulcerative cryptogenetic colitis, mucomembranous or even pseudomembranous, the dietary and hygienic recommendations will be similar

Right colitis: generally due to a diet too rich in carbohydrates mealy. Dominant saccharolytic fermentation or incomplete digestion of fruits, vegetables, cereals and starches

Left-sided colitis: generally due to a diet too rich in meat. Dominant proteolytic fermentation or incomplete enzymatic transformation of ingested animal proteins and production of ammonia

The alternation of diarrhea and constipation is a sign of “irritable bowel syndrome” and often of fungal dysbiosis.
