Contraceptive Pill
It has been widely demonstrated that estrogen-progestogens increase cardiovascular risk. The pill affects 30 metabolic functions. Do not overlook the importance of the smoking factor which considerably increases the vascular risk, nor the anorexigenic prescription which increases it.
Taking the “pill” always requires precautions and dietary or therapeutic correctives. Its effects are noted on:
- carbohydrates: progestins reduce glucose resistance,
- lipids: increase in triglyceride levels,
- blood pressure: promotes hypertension and increases vascular risks.
Hormonal contraception is contraindicated in cases of breast or uterine cancer
Risks: magnesium leakage - vit deficiency. B6 and zinc - hair loss - brittle nails - heavy legs - estrogen disturbances - hepatic disturbance - character instability - weight disturbance - thrombosis - phlebitis - myocardial infarction especially in women over 35 - reduction in bone density...
Note: if the pill gives the woman control over her fertility, it does not give him control over his health. Quite the contrary.
