Dupuytren's disease

Retraction of the palmar aponeurosis, that is to say the sheath which, under the skin, protects the hand.

Affection caused by the thickening and shortening of the palmar aponeurosis which lead to the formation of fibrous nodules and the progressive flexion of the fingers (4th and 5th especially).

It seems more common in humans.

This occupational pathology occurs in people exposed to incessant manual situations. Treat if necessary: ​​cholesterolemia, uricemia (high level of uric acid during a diet rich in purines)
