Enuresis - Bedwetting

Involuntary and unconscious emission of urine during sleep - Adaptation disorder (too much severity from parents and/or educators, or the opposite).

Enuresis is generally more common in children who snore

The (theoretical) ages of bladder control:

  • 15-24 months: daytime urination gradually normalizes
  • 18 months: the child indicates that his pants are wet
  • 24 months: acquisition of daytime cleanliness
  • 36 months: continence acquired at night with the help of parents
  • 42 months: the child acquires his own cleanliness
