Epistaxis

Nose bleeding (sensitive mucosa of fragile people). Excess dilation (Yin) of capillaries and small blood vessels in the nasal mucous membranes.

Check blood pressure when bleeding improves headache.

Identify the causes: cirrhosis, anemia, liver disease (right nostril), polyp, sinusitis, treatment with anticoagulant.

There are 2 peaks in frequency of epistaxis: in the morning and in the evening. These circadian variations resemble those of cerebral hemorrhages and ruptured aneurysms.

In people over 50, high blood pressure may be involved.

The state of sadness is often to be assessed in people prone to chronic epistaxis
