Fibrocystic Breasts

Fibrocystic breast disease or sclerocystic mastitis is considered a common benign problem. Abnormal breast architecture is a risk factor for breast cancer. This problem is fueled by high estrogen levels and fluctuates depending on the female hormonal cycle. During menstruation, the lymphatic system drains the tissues. When drainage does not occur normally, an accumulation of fibrous tissue results.

Look for foods rich in iodine: seaweed, seafood, fish. In case of hyperthyroidism, consult a homeopath competent in hormone therapy.

Look for liver detoxifying foods: lemon, onion, leek, carrot, beetroot, artichoke…

Use turmeric, evening primrose oil, marine fish oils.

Eliminate drinks containing caffeine, cooked fats, dairy products, black tea, chocolate, cola-based drinks, soft drinks...

High levels of stress are a risk factor for hormonal imbalance and fibrocystic breast disease. Other factors are important: chronic exposure to xenoestrogens (plastics, pesticides), taking synthetic hormones (contraceptive pill)

Control excess weight

Defective intestinal functioning, a slow liver and chronic sedentary lifestyle are aggravating factors in fibrocystic disease.

Use a comfortable bra that does not compress the breasts and allows lymphatic circulation without hindrance.
