Fibromyositis (Spid)

A set of conditions consisting of inflammation of a muscle, its connective tissue envelopes, its tendons and the capsules of neighboring joints. SPID: Diffuse Idiopathic Polyalgia Syndrome. Pain diffuses to the muscles, bones, joints. Fatigue, insomnia and additional disorders: constipation (or diarrhea), nausea, abdominal pain and gas, chronic migraines, palpitations, dizziness, feverishness. Certain conditions aggravate the symptoms, such as changes in temperature, cold, wind, humidity, but also hormonal fluctuations in women, stress and depression.

Causes: chronic imbalance of the nervous system due to low serotonin levels, aluminum intoxication.

Triggering: emotional shock, accident, disturbing moment in life, death of a loved one, collapse of the immune system after a serious illness such as mononucleosis, flu, herpes…

Typical profile of victims: 7 women for 1 man, between 25 and 50 years old, perfectionists, demanding of themselves, pushed beyond their limits or having suffered sexual abuse during childhood. In women, the disease often appears during pregnancy.

Tenderness to palpation, rigidity of joints, muscles or adjacent organs (22 hotspots).
