Frostbite - Chapped - Crack

Frostbite: skin lesion due to cold, characterized by limited, hard, red and painful swelling, sometimes complicated by blisters (blisters or air bubbles) and cracks and most often located on the hands, feet, nose or ears. Poor circulation can cause or aggravate frostbite in particularly cold weather situations.

Chapped - crack: small crack in the epidermis and part of the dermis.

Enrich the diet with vitamin A, in the form of fish liver oil, B₃ (or PP) and D

Cress, raw and cooked onion, parsley in abundance in the diet

Juice of young shoots

Oil of borage, 2 caps. / day

Red pepper and ginger stimulate arterial flow and are known to prevent frostbite

OPC (Oligomeric Proantho Cyanidine), red grape extracts, 2 caps. / day

Reduce sunflower (oil and seeds), replace with fatty fish, fresh butter, olive oil, argan oil, egg yolk

Eliminate fried foods, breading, smoked, grilled, roasted and sauced foods

Prevention: protect from hypothermia, cover poorly protected areas (ears, nose, hands, feet).

Slowly warm the affected areas. Do not massage, do not rub, do not use heat or hot water.

Practice physical exercises that activate blood circulation in the extremities of the limbs.

Potaplasm of raw potato pulp, peeled and grated + olive oil or sweet almond oil.

Potaplasm of crushed mistletoe berries (Viscum album), of crushed slippery elm (Ulmus rubra) bark.

Baths or washes with decoction of carrot tops or celeriac with its branches.

Ointment prepared from lard and calendula flowers: filter after heating and apply - Oil of St. John's wort, repeated local applications.

Aloe vera gel, 4 applications / day - Aromacutil, cream (Dietaroma) - Biokarité plus (Yves Ponroy / NutriSanté), balm to apply in the evening, or as needed.

E.O. of Lavandin (Lavandula burnatii) + sweet almond or olive oil

or E.O. of True Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
