Glomerulonephritis
Also called “Berger's disease”
Kidney damage characterized by inflammatory damage to the glomeruli, caused by a bacterial condition, in particular rhinophraryngitis and classically of a streptococcal nature.
Chronic forms (hypertension, presence of blood in the urine, fatigue) are linked to autoimmune factors and can progress to fatal renal failure.
It is also said glomerulopathy. Inflammation is produced by an accumulation in the kidneys of a substance called immunoglobulin A (Ig A), a type of antibody made by the immune system
Kidney glomerulopathy: Malpighian glomerulus - Initial element of the nephron, seat of glomerular filtration. This is the term used to refer to any kidney disease
