Heavy Legs
Slowing of venous and lymphatic circulation, heaviness in the lower limbs, numbness of the extremities, feeling of dead toes, edema of the feet and ankles.
Heart failure often leads in the elderly to edema of the ankles and heaviness of the legs.
Chronic venous disease concerns the “return circulation”, that is to say the oxygen-depleted blood which returns to the heart.
The limbs furthest from the heart often suffer from circulatory deficiencies: the legs require effort to be adequately irrigated.
Heavy legs: above all a lymphatic problem. heaviness generally precedes edema.
