Jaundice

More or less dark yellow coloring of the skin and mucous membranes, due to bile pigments which often pass into the urine, which becomes rarer and darker.

Frank jaundice appears when the level of bile pigment in the plasma reaches or exceeds 30 mg (51 Mmol per liter).

Subicterus occurs at levels of 15 to 30 mg / liter
