Degenerative & Auto-immuneStates
Myasthenia
Neuromuscular disease resulting in significant weakness of the muscles linked to a failure in the transmission of nerve impulses, with symptoms such as drooping eyelids, visual disturbances, difficulty in raising the arms, or in eating, walking and even breathing.
It is an autoimmune disease caused by antibodies directed against cholinergic receptors (release of acetylcholine, chemical mediator transmitting nerve impulses at the synapses, place of connection of neurons).
This pathology often coexists with a thymus tumor.
