Organ Descent
Abnormally low situation of a viscera following the relaxation of its means of fixity. “Everything that falls” (uterus, breasts, bladder, intestines, stomach, rectum). This condition coincides with a weakening of the general muscular system, a weakening often caused by a deficiency in potassium and iron.
Cystocele: descent of the bladder onto the vagina
Hysterocele: abnormal fall of the uterus into the small pelvis
Rectocele: relaxation of the position of the rectum which lowers onto the vagina
Colpocele: sagging of the walls of the vagina, caused by the thrust of the rectum or bladder
