Rheumatism
General term designating painful manifestations of the joints and damage to other organs which are the consequence or cause.
This is the name given to acute or chronic painful conditions localized especially in the joints and the soft parts that surround them.
According to medicinal chronobiology, anti-inflammatories are to be taken in the evening.
There are more than 300 types of rheumatism distributed mainly in 3 main categories:
- inflammatory rheumatism (e.g.: RAA),
- degenerative rheumatism (e.g.: osteoarthritis),
- metabolic rheumatism (e.g.: gout).
