Stye

Often painful inflammation, sometimes colloquially called “compère-oriot”. The inflammatory process begins at the level of the eyelashes of the eyelid.

Sensation of burning and discomfort at the edge of the eyelid, quickly followed by edema, redness, pain and a very specific spot.

Appears when the eyelid is subjected to repeated mechanical irritation: dust, smoke, friction with dirty hands...

Choose a hypotoxic diet rich in antioxidants

Use: carrot, black radish, apple, grape, onion

Avoid sugar, cold meats, fried foods, breadings, commercial sauces

Spraying with aerosols of demineralized water containing flower decoctions (cornflower, elderberry, alchemilla or marigold) or

Compresses soaked in an infusion of lemon balm tops, eyebright or elecampane roots or castor oil.

Eye baths with Quinton marine plasma (Biocean)

Apply to the eyelid, eyes closed: Calendula TM, 20 drops in half a glass of water

Avoid:dust, drafts, any makeup until the stye completely disappears.

Do not use E.O. locally. Prefer floral waters

Internally, use: H.E. of Niaouli (Melaleuca quinquenervia), Pine (Pinus sylvestris), Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus), Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), Oregano (Origanum floribundum), Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)
