Syncope

Sudden and complete loss of consciousness linked to sudden cerebral anoxia: reduction in the quantity of oxygen distributed to the tissues by the blood, momentary interruption of the arrival of blood to the brain. It is accompanied by extreme pallor and generally by respiratory arrest and cold sweats.

It is a cardiac pause or sudden arterial hypotension.
