Torticollis

Stiffness and pain of the neck muscles and adnexal muscles due to contracture of one of the sternocleidomastoid muscles

Anatomo-physiological causes: rheumatism of the cervical spine, poor posture at the level of the neck or spine, physical activity and too intense muscular efforts

Metaphysical causes: stubbornness, rigidity

Cabbage - Shark cartilage (Æterna) - Gomasio - Onion - Leek

Juice of young cereal shoots

Minerola (Superdiet), 3 comp. morning and evening before meals

Flexigeste (Superdiet), 1 amp. in the morning for 3 weeks

Petadolor (Bioforce), 2 dragees X 3 to 4 / day

Supreme Plus Collagen (Medelys), 1/2 tsp. to s.  on an empty stomach and before meals

Avoid acidifying foods, white wine, ice cream, meats, meat broth, sauces, stew, cow's milk, tea, coffee, all refined sugars, sweets, pastries, rhubarb, cranberries, spinach, sorrel, orange juice.

Very hot compresses renewed frequently (with decoction of rosemary leaves), 3 applications per day

Massage with Calendula (Weleda) oil or St. John's wort oil

Local heat (natural silk scarf around the neck)

Application of a bag of hot sand or heated salt, covered with a towel

Massage the neck going down along the spine with warm castor oil and light pressure or Neter oil (spacyric remedy).

Medelaid (Medelys), topical application by spray on the stiff or blocked area.

E.O. of natural turpentine (Pinus pinaster), Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) and Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora), to be used in equal parts with sweet almond oil as an anointing on painful areas

E.O. of Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), of Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), of Sassafras (Sassafras albidum)
