Turner Syndrome

Hereditary onycho-osteodysplasia. Rare congenital condition characterized by the association of bilateral nail dysplasia affecting the fingernails which are either absent or very fragile and deformed and bone dysplasia localized to the articular surfaces and junctions of the bones and limbs (e.g.: absent kneecaps, deformed elbow or pelvic bones). Anatomical and structural anomalies. Severe ovarian weakness.

This disease is classified among the mucopolysaccharidoses (diseases due to an enzymatic deficiency in the metabolism of mucopolysaccharides, acids which are accumulated in excess in the tissues).
