Vitiligo

Depigmentation and dull white patches on the skin (hepato-biliary deficiency, pituitary disorder, nervous shock or syphilis), absence of melanin.

Occurs in people who have neuro-vegetative dysregulation and have had very strong emotions (fears, mourning, annoyances). This condition most often occurs in young adults (18-30 years old). According to some theories, there are anti-melanocyte antibodies which destroy pigment cells. For others, it would be an enzymatic phenomenon, and finally, some scientists are supporters of a neurogenic theory.
