Abnormal and painful impression received by a living part of the body and perceived by the brain. Pain arises from complex systems: neurogenic pain (related to poor functioning of the nervous system), pathogenic pain (dependent on the psyche).
Types of pain:
- <b>acute</b>: sharp, immediate and generally brief,
- <b>chronic</b>: prolonged over time, pain that has been evolving for more than 6 years month,
- <b>inflammatory </b>: often more significant in the evening and at the beginning of the night (when the natural cortisol level is at its lowest),
- <b>mechanical</b>: which can increase with exercise and generally decreases when mobilization stops,
- <b>muscular</b>: present at rest when the muscles are cold, present during exercise, it decreases or disappears when stopping physical effort.
